Walter Overstreet laid the foundation in Chicago's western suburbs for Overstreet Builders in 1961.  He began compiling knowledge in his early years as a carpenter/contractor for later success in the trade.  After Walter had gained some experience, Overstreet Builders, a small home building company that would one day echo superior quality in custom homes, was born.  As he developed a name for himself it became evident that his personal committment to the building industry would be unsurpassed.
